Central out-hit LIU 10-3 in the match led by Camara who went 3-for-4 with a double. Camara, Hathaway and senior Tori Constantin all tabbed a pair of RBIs.

GAME TWO

CCSU rallied back from trailing 3-0 after the Blackbirds put together a three run first inning, to downing LIU 14-5 in sixth innings. The offense attack began in the bottom of the second inning when sophomore Emily Cronin beat out a single to the shortstop that scored Hathaway from third.

McNulla ignited the surge with a lead-off double to right center field. Sophomore Giuliana Hathaway brought McNulla on a single up the middle and advanced to second an error from third base.

Camara then fired a double down the right field line that scored two Blue Devils and the senior would then find her way home after another single down the right field line from junior Kaitlin Paterson.

Despite LIU tying the game back up at 5-5, the Blue Devils launched back-to-back homers from senior Lex Debrosse and freshman Sydney Bolan in addition to three more hits to take an 11-5 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Contantin and Cronin double and singled in the bottom of the sixth inning to set up a three-run jack to right field off the bat of Camara to seal the sweep over the Blackbirds.

Camara tabbed six RBIs (3-5) and Constantin went 3-for-4 with a double to lead Central to out-hitting LIU 17-10 for the game.
