The Central Connecticut softball team suffered a 5-1 loss in its final game at the USF Under Armour Classic in Tampa, FL on Sunday at the Eddie C. Moore Complex. The Blue Devils fall to 4-12 on the year and will next face the Yale Bulldogs on Tuesday, March 13 at CCSU Softball Field in New Britain, CT for a doubleheader at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.
The Hawks struck first in the bottom of the fourth inning on a triple to right center from Rachel Timberman to take a 1-0 lead over CCSU.
