Bruno wasted little time adjusting in her first college season. She led the Blue Devils and the NEC with 60 hits. That number stands as the second highest single-season total in program history. Bruno has the opportunity to take down the school record if she can notch four more hits in the conference tournament.
The outfielder also led the Blue Devils in hitting with a .349 batting average. That also stands as the 10th highest average in the NEC. In addition to hitting for a high average, Bruno scored a team-high 39 runs scored and totaled a team-high 81 bases. Her 24 runs batted in ranked third on the team.
She also hit for power in her first season recording eight doubles, two triples and three homeruns. On the bases she stole eight bags on only nine attempts.
Bruno also registered the longest hitting streak of the Blue Devils season with a 15 game streak stretching from late March into early April.
The Blue Devils will play their first ever NEC postseason game tomorrow against the host Robert Morris. First pitch is scheduled for 10 a.m.
