Bio

Tyler Raymond returned to the Blue Devil coaching staff in 2020-21 after serving as the head coach of the men's and women's track and cross country program for one year where he was named NECC Women's Coach of the Year. He was also on the Central coaching staff from 2017-19. Raymond, a 2017 CCSU alumnus, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. As an undergraduate, Raymond was a valuable asset to the men's cross country and outdoor track and field teams during his career.

The Terryville, CT, product contributed to seven NEC Championships between the two sports. During his senior campaign, Raymond served as an intern in the Track and Field office under head coach Eric Blake. A three-time All-Northeast Conference performer, he captained the cross country and track and field teams as a senior. 

He was the runner-up at the 2016 NEC Cross Country CHampionships and was a runner-up in both the 10k and 5k at the 2015 NEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. He also collected bronze in the 3k and 5k at the 2017 NEC Indoor Track & Field Champioships and finished third in the 10k at the 2017 Outdoor Track & Field Championships. He has posted best times of: 30:06 in the 10k, 14:35 in the 5k, 4:15 in the mile, and 1:08:18 in a half marathon.

Raymond has also worked as a personal trainer at YES Fitness in Burlington, CT. He is certified in first aid, CPR and AED, while holding a USATF Coaching Level I and USTFCCCA Strength and Conditioning Coach certification.
