Men's Cross Country Takes Collegiate Championship Title at the CCSU Mini Meet

The Central Connecticut men's cross-country team took the CCSU Mini Meet collegiate championship on Friday at Stanley Park with a team total of 79 points. The Blue Devils had three finishers in the top 10.

The Central Connecticut men's cross-country team took the CCSU Mini Meet collegiate championship on Friday at Stanley Park with a team total of 79 points. The Blue Devils had three finishers in the top 10.  

KEY PERFORMANCES  

  • Yankarlos Diaz was the first Blue Devil to cross the finish line this weekend, taking seventh place with a time of 15:02. His teammates James Sullivan (15:03) and Jake Ireland (15:09) followed closely behind capturing eighth and ninth place, respectively. 

  • Tim Lautenbach was just seven seconds behind the pack and secured a spot in the top 20, finishing 16th (15:16). 

  • Mark Rodriguez finished 40th with a time of 15:39, followed by Israel Caro IV (15:40) in 42nd and Salvatore Masciarelli (15:41) in 43rd. 

UP NEXT  

  • The Blue Devils will head to the NEC Championships next Friday at Immergun GC in Loretto, PA.
