Men's Cross Country Finishes Fourth at New England Championships

The men's cross country team finished fourth overall out of a field of 24 schools at the New England Championships Saturday. Freshman Colin Caso paced the team and finished ninth in the men's 8K race.

NOTES

  • Caso led the charge for CCSU, finishing ninth overall in the men's 8K. The freshman had an average mile time of 5:02.4 and finished with a time of 25:03.5.
  • The next Blue Devil to cross on Saturday was another freshman on the team. James Sullivan, who has had a fourth and eighth place finish already this season, finished 17th in the race with a time of 25:15.1.
  • Junior Eddie Nicholas, who placed first in the Ted Owen Invitational earlier this season, rounded out the top three finishers for CCSU. Nicholas finished just outside the top 20 with a final time of 25.21.8.
  • The Blue Devils were the highest placed Northeast Conference team at the race, beating out three other NEC schools.

The Blue Devils will be running on their home course again on October 22 during the CCSU Mini Meet.
