Nicholas and Sullivan Earn Athlete and Rookie of the Week

After a strong showing in last weekend's Ted Owen Invitational, Eddie Nicholas and James Sullivan were awarded Athlete of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively.

Nicholas, a junior runner with the Blue Devils, finished the men's 8K race with a final time of 26:00.7, five seconds ahead of second place. It was Nicholas' first collegiate first place finish in cross country.

Nicholas was followed by a pack of Blue Devils, one of them being rookie James Sullivan, who finished 19 seconds after Nicholas. Sullivan was the first freshman to cross the line in the men's 8K.

Along with Nicholas and Sullivan's awards, three other Blue Devils were named Prime Performers for the week. Colin Caso, Jake Ireland and Yankarlos Diaz were all on the Prime Performers list alongside their teammates.

Men's cross country will be running again this Saturday, taking part in the New England Championships.
