Piotto Leads the Blue Devils at the ECAC/IC4A Championships
The Blue Devils finished 12th out of 18 teams.
The Central Connecticut men's cross country team finished 12th out of a field of 18 teams at the 33rd ECAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 17 at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, NY. The team finished the 8K course with an average time of 24:40.80.
Junior Roberto Piotto clocked in first for the Blue Devils in 20th place out of a field of 157 runners with a time of 23:30. Less than thirty seconds later classmate Richard Grudzwick finished the 8K course in 23:50 at 38th place.
Next for Central was junior Julio Arredondo crossing the finish line at the 24:46 mark in 85th place. Shortly behind Arredondo was rookie Robert Moore who finished 119th with a time of 25:32.
Rounding out the New Britain squad were senior Patrick Halloran and freshman Sean Oushana who finished at 25:46 and 26:27 respectively.
The ECAC/IC4A Championship was the last meet for the men's cross country 2018 season.
