Men's Cross Country Finished First at Ted Owen
Men's cross country finished in first place at the Ted Owen Invitational.
On Saturday morning, the Central Connecticut men's cross country team finished first out of a seven-team field at the 16th Annual Ted Owen Invitational. The Blue Devils averaged a Stanley Quarter Park 8K course time of 27:41. Leading the New Britain pack was senior Alex Norstrom, junior Roberto Piotto, and junior Richard Grudzwick who crossed the finish line almost simultaneously in first, second, and third place respectively. Norstrom turned in a time of 26:45.1 and Piotto and Grudzwick both ended at 26:45.2.
Next in for CCSU was junior Julio Arredondo in eighth place at 27:37.9. Rounding out the finished for Central at 30:31.5 was senior Patrick Halloran.
Both men's and women's cross country teams will compete at the New England Championships in Boston, MA on Saturday, Oct. 6, held in Franklin Park.
