Raymond Places Fifth at Men's Cross Country IC4A/ECAC Championships
Three Blue Devils ran at the final meet of the 2016 season.
Senior Tyler Raymond paced three Central Connecticut men's cross country runners at the IC4A/ECAC Championships in Van Cortlandt Park held in Bronx, NY, on Saturday. Raymond turned in a fifth-place overall finish among 77 runners in the 8k Championship race.
Raymond, who placed second overall at the Northeast Conference championships, turned in a time of 26:02 with a 1k pace of 3:34.
Junior Eric Davidson completed the course in a time of 28:45 to place 68th. Davidson turned in a 3:56 pace. Rounding out CCSU's trio of runners was freshman Richard Grudzwick who finished the race in 30:00, a 4:06 pace.
The meet concludes the 2016 season for Central Connecticut. The Blue Devils enjoyed another successful campaign, highlighted by their eighth straight Northeast Conference championship.
