The Central Connecticut men's cross country team placed eighth at the Iona Br. Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions on Friday in Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, NY. Senior Derek French led the Blue Devils runners in the field of 144 runners.

COMPLETE RESULTS

French turned in a time of 27:52.5 and had a mile average of 5:36.4 to place 72nd. Junior Eric Davidson placed 74th in 27:55.1 and senior Malcolm Connor was 76th at 27:56.7. They had average miles of 5:36.9 and 5:37.3, respectively.

Freshman Richard Grudzwick completed the 8k course in 28:10.2 and sophomore Kevin Rivera finished in 30:55.3 to round out the CCSU runners.

The Blue Devils host the Ted Owen Invitational at Stanley Quarter Park on Saturday, September 24.
