Bio
Dan Schwartz enters his first year as an assistant coach for the Central Connecticut men's and women's track and field teams following a successful collegiate career at the University of Massachusetts.
While at UMASS, Schwartz was a two-time captain of the men's track and field team and competed as a multi-event and middle distance athlete. He currently holds the Minutemen record in the Heptathlon with 4,450 and also ranks fourth in the decathlon with 6,166, both of which he earned in 2010. Schwartz was also a four-time All-Atlantic 10 Team selection.
Schwartz is USATF Level One Coaching certified and his responsibilities with the Blue Devils primarily include working with sprinters, jumpers and multi-event athletes.
The Sudbury, MA native graduated from UMASS in Spring 2012 with a degree in psychology and a minor in education. Prior to attending Massachusetts, Schwartz competed in track and field at Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School.
Schwartz currently resides in New Britain, CT.
