Four Wins For Men's Track & Field At Flagship Spring Invitational

The Central Connecticut men's track and field team won four races at the 2025 UMass Flagship Spring Invitational on Saturday, in Amherst, MA.
The Blue Devils on Friday, April 11th at the Conn College Silfen Distance Events and the at the SCSU Invititational on Saturday, April 12th.
- Lucas Figueiredo led five Blue Devils in the top-10 of the 400m dash, with a winning time of 48.24 while Noah Colangelo took bronze in the 400 m, with a run of 49.03
- Colangelo would go on to win the 200m dash, in a time of 22.26, with Figueiredo fourth at 22.54, while KyMoy Phillip finished sixth in a time of 22.89 and Jordan Jackson clocked 23.07 to place ninth
- Nicholas Xavier won the hammer throw as he threw 52.91m on his second attempt
- Aiden Budge won the 1500m with a time of 3:52.75, taking over in the second 400m and leading the rest of the way
- Rashaan Rankins was second in the high jump, clearing 1.90m
- Tristan Burke, Jamar Alcena, Jordan Jackson and Stylz Mitchell took silver in the 4x100m relay, running 41.87, just .05 from winning the event
- Mitchell took silver in the 100m dash with a run of 10.93, with Burke fourth at 10.99 and Alcena 10th with a run of 11.16
- Willie Elliott captured third place in the triple jump, with a 13.20m leap on his third effort
- Greyson Golda (14.84m) and Tristan Smith (14.70m) placed third and fourth respectively in the shot put, while Quincy Davis (13.40m) and Angelo Pisacreta (13.00m) were sixth and ninth
- Smith took bronze in the discus, with a 39.05m effort, with Golda (37.48) fourth, Davis (36.64) sixth and Pisacreta (35.15m) ninth
- Ryan McCauley finished fourth in the 800m, with a run of 1:57.40, while Budge was ninth with a time of 1:58.91
- Zachary Bonini was fifth in the javelin for the Blue Devils with a throw of 50,05m, while Kyle Martin placed ninth with a 42.39m effort in the sixth round
- Joseph Lauria ran 15:24,28 in the 5000m to finish seventh
- Jadyen Brown (50.62), Cole Robertson (50.80) and KyMoy Phillips (51.11) placed seventh, ninth and 10th to round out the CCSU performance in the quarter mile
- Elliott jumped 6.09m on his third jump to earn seventh place in the long jump
- Chris Abbey, McCauley, Thomas Flanders and Ryan Scappaticci combined to run 3:44.70 for the 4x400 relay, finishing seventh
