Men's Track and Field Places Second at Conference Championships

KEY TRACK PERFORMANCES

Jake Ireland won two events for the Blue Devils, taking home gold in both the 1,500m (3:55.28) and the 800m (1:53.89) races.

Gabriel Kwarteng and Aiden Budge also scored points in the 800m race, taking second (1:54.11) and sixth (1:55.48), respectively.

Yankarlos Diaz earned second in the 3,000m steeplechase with a 9:35.96 effort. Joe Lauria placed fourth with a time of 9:48.23.

Edward Williams Jr. took silver in the 110m hurdles, crossing the finish line in 14.04. Cam Whalen finished sixth in the event (15.15), while Kenny Agwu came in just a tenth of a second behind (15.25) to snag seventh.

Williams Jr. Also competed in the 200m dash, finishing fifth in 21.90.

Whalen, Agwu, and Logan Moore took fifth, sixth, and seventh in the 400m hurdles. Whalen paced the pack, coming in at 55.58.

James Sullivan snagged bronze in the 5,000m race (15:09.36).
