Men's Track and Field Shows Out at New England Intercollegiate Championships
Central Connecticut men's track and field put together a successful weekend at the New England Intercollegiate Championships, taking home a number of top three finishes in Massachusetts.
DAY ONE
Isreal Henriques-Setho churned out a fourth place performance in the men's long jump on Friday, going for 7.07m.
In the men's weight throw, Andrew McCarthy went for 16.65m, good enough for seventh place.
Yoskar Rosas-Perez finished eighth in the pole vault with a 3.95m distance.
DAY TWO
Jacob Ireland was edged out of a first place finish in the men's 1000 meter run by just seven hundreths of a second on Saturday, finishing in second place at 2:24.38.
Ali Diaby took home a third place finish in the men's 400 meter dash with a neat 50.50 finish.
In the 3000 meter run, Yankarlos Diaz earned a seventh place finish, churning out a 8:34.20 time.
Henriques-Setho had another top ten finish finish for CCSU in the triple jump with a 13.51m leap that landed him in seventh.
In the men's 1 mile run, James Sullivan finished sixth at 4:17.44.
Ed Radzion had an eighth place toss in the shot put with a 14.64m throw.
Kyle Wimbish finished ninth in the men's high jump with a 1.85m jump.
The men's team finished eighth out of 11 teams in the 4x400 relay.

CCSU track and field will be competing in Boston again next weekend, this time in the David Hemery Valentine Invite on February 12.
