Men's Track Takes First over UAlbany at CCSU Blue Devil Invite
The Blue Devils earned a commanding 94-62 win over UAlbany on Saturday.
The Central Connecticut men's track and field team placed first for the third consecutive week, in a victory over the University of Albany on Saturday. The Blue Devils totaled 94 points as a team and captured 10 gold medals.

Senior Miles Fye-Moore captured two gold medals in the sprinting events. He won the 100 meter event with a time of 10.70, and the 200 meter event with a time of 21.70.

Ali Diaby earned five points for CCSU with his first place finish in the 400 meter dash with a sprint of 47.81, nearly beating the second place opponent by three seconds.

Richard Grudzwick found a victory on senior day, winning the 800 meter run with a time of 1:56.21, edging out teammate Greg McGuire.

The 1500 meter run was neck and neck the entire way between freshmen Eddie Nicholas and Jake Ireland. Nicholas, the three-time NEC Rookie of the Week winner, was able to pull away and take the gold.

Junior Cam Whalen continued to earn points in the hurdles, placing first in the 110 meter with a time of 15.52.

Charlie Taubl and Sean Oushana both competed in the steeplechase, with Taubl posting a 10:16.87, which was good for the gold.

Ed Radzion built off his solid previous week in Vermont, winning the shot put with a best mark of 14.47m.

Sophomore Andrew McCarthy took gold in the discus finals (46.62m) and silver in the hammer finals (42.80m).

Senior Nick Kocienda would finish first in the men's hammer finals with a best toss of 53.04. Four out of his six throws ended in fouls, but his longest throw was good enough to win.
