Eddie Nicholas Earns Third Rookie of the Week Honor

For the third time this season, freshman Eddie Nicholas of the men's track and field team was named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week. The Woodbury, CT native helped the Blue Devils take first at the University of Vermont Quad Meet on Saturday. 

Nicholas placed first in the men's 3000 meter steeplechase run with a time of 9:07.71. He earned 10 points for CCSU, who finished in first of four teams with 72 total points. Nicholas owns the fourth-fastest 3,000m steeplechase time (9:07.71) amongst IC4A Championships qualifiers and sits 27th overall in the NCAA Division I East Region
