Track Set To Host CCSU Blue Devil Invite on Saturday
Throwing events will begin at 10:00 a.m. and track events are slated to start at noon.
On Saturday, April 28 the Central Connecticut track and field teams will host Hartford, Franklin Pierce and a variety of unattached runners for its annual CCSU Blue Devil Invite at the CCSU Track & Field Complex in New Britain, CT. The throwing events will begin at 10 a.m. and the track events will start at noon.
Live results will be presented by Platt Systems for all track events. Final results will be posted on www.tfrrs.org and www.ccsubluedevils.com following the conclusion of Saturday's events.
The track events will be held on the Central Connecticut campus in between the football field and baseball/softball fields. The throwing area for the invitational is located off campus across Ella Grasso Boulevard off of Barbour Rd.
Fans and spectators are expected to park in the Arute Field (football) lot off of Ella Grasso Boulevard and Kaiser Drive. No buses will be allowed to park in the lower lot adjacent to the track and baseball fields.
A bus shuttle service will be available to all participants and spectators from the lower lot to the throwing area on Barbour Rd. Parking is not permitted at Barbour Rd. or on the adjacent street. Cars parked in the restricted areas will be ticketed and towed by the City of New Britain.
