Blue Devils to Compete at New England Championships
Events will begin on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Reggie Lewis Center.
The Central Connecticut men's and women's indoor track and field teams will travel back to the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, MA for the second time this season for the New England Championships on Friday and Saturday.
The meet will feature 13 track events, six field events and two multi events. The multi events begin on Friday at 10:00 a.m. with the heptathlon 60 meters. Field events will begin at 12:00 p.m. and track events starting at 1:40 p.m. Field events will kick off with the men's pole vault and track event will begin with the men's 400 meters.
Last year at the New England Championships, junior Ediwn Alston took home the 60 meter hurdle gold medal and junior Richard Grudzwick broke the Central Connecticut 800 meter run individual record with a time of 1:49.4, good for a fourth place finish to lead the men's team.
On the women's side, senior Melissa Wolliston claimed the bronze medal while breaking her own previous 60 meter hurdle school record with a time of 8.68 seconds.
