Alston and Trainor Compete at NCAA East Regionals in Lexington
Pair of Blue Devils represent CCSU in NCAA East Regionals on Friday night
Sophomore Edwin Alston and junior Austin Trainor of the Central Connecticut men's track and field team traveled to Lexington, KY on May 26th for the 2017 NCAA East Preliminary Regional Meet at the University of Kentucky.
Alston competed in the 110 meter hurdles while Trainor competed in the 3,000 meter steeplechase event.
Alston, the school record holder in the 110 meter hurdles, finished 42nd in the field in a time of 14.42. He came into the event ranked 77th in the nation with a qualifying time of 14.14.
ALSTON 100 METER HURDLE RESULTS
Trainor competed in the 3,000 meter steeplechase finishing in 9:23.25. He finished in 42nd place.
He entered the night with a 31st ranking in the east with a time of 8:58.04. The Port Jervis, NY native held the 73rd fastest time on the national leaderboard.
