Raymond, Trainor Lead Off IC4A Championships Friday
Raymond and Trainor compete on day one of the IC4A Championship meet at Princeton University.
Central Connecticut men's track and field members, senior Tyler Raymond and junior Austin Trainor, commenced the 2017 IC4A Championships on Friday, May 12th at Princeton University. Raymond, of Terryville, CT, finished in seventh place overall in the 10K after crossing the finish line at 30:46.73.
Trainor, the reigning Northeast Conference 3K Steeplechase Champion, placed eighth in the steeple with a time of 9:06.76 for the Blue Devils.

Starting for CCSU on Saturday in Princeton will be sophomore, 110m hurdle school record-holder, Edwin Alston, will show off his talents as the 10th ranked hurdler in his specialty event at 11:05 a.m. Junior Tyler Latham will take part in the IC4A long jump final at 11:30 a.m. after setting a personal record jump of 7.02 meters last weekend at the NEC Championships.
Senior Joseph Gioielli and sophomore Kyle Welch will represent the Blue Devils on Saturday, May 13th at the New Englands. Welch will run in the 3,000m steeplechase at noon, and the 18th ranked Gioielli will compete in the 1,500m finals at 1:05 p.m.
