Men's Track's Championship Season Continues at IC4A & New England Finals
The Blue Devils will split up this weekend for the IC4A and New England Championships.
Coming off of its eighth-straight outdoor track Northeast Conference Championship, Central Connecticut will break up this weekend, May 12th-14th, for the IC4A and New England Finals. The IC4A's will be held at Princeton University inside Weaver Stadium in Princeton, NJ and Williams College in Williamstown, MA will host the NEICAAA Championships.

Kicking off the 2017 IC4A Championships will be sixth ranked junior Austin Trainor in the 3,000m steeplechase on Friday, May 12th at 5:00 p.m. Senior Tyler Raymond will also compete on day one of the IC4A's in the 10K run at 6:45 p.m.
On Saturday in Princeton, sophomore 110m hurdle school record-holder, Edwin Alston, will show off his talents as the 10th ranked hurdler in his specialty event at 11:05 a.m. The 110m hurdle semifinals will follow at 11:55 a.m.
Junior Tyler Latham will take part in the IC4A long jump final at 11:30 a.m. after setting a personal record jump of 7.02 meters last weekend at the NEC Championships. The multi-talented junior will also throw the javelin for CCSU on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Latham won the NEC title last Sunday will a personal best throw of 59.95 meters.
Central Connecticut rookie Jonathan Gill will compete in the 800m trials at 12:20 p.m.
Senior Joseph Gioielli and sophomore Kyle Welch will represent the Blue Devils on Saturday, May 13th at the New Englands. Welch will run in the 3,000m steeplechase at noon, and the 18th ranked Gioielli will compete in the 1,500m finals at 1:05 p.m.
