Men's Track Set for Weekend Competitions at Princeton, Rider & Miami U.
The men's outdoor track and field team will be representing CCSU at three different locations this weekend.
The Central Connecticut men's outdoor track and field team will split off to three seperate competitions this Friday and Saturday, April 7-8th. Junior Austin Trainor and senior Joesph Gioielli will run at the Sam Howell Invitational hosted by Princeton at Weaver Stadium. Sophomore Edwin Alston will trek south to Coral Gables, F.L. for the University of Miami Hurricane Alumni Invitational. The rest of the track team will take it's talents to Lawrenceville, NJ on Saturday, April 8th for the Rider Invite.
Trainor will kick off the big weekend for CCSU at the Sam Howell Invitational on Friday night in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at 6:10 p.m. Gioielli will run on Saturday at 12:20 p.m. in the 1,500 meter run.

Alston will be representing the Blue Devils in the 100 meter dash and the 110 meter hurdles at Miami U. on Saturday. The 110H begin at 4:05 p.m. and 100m starts at 5:25 p.m.
Freshmen, Jack St. Clair, Marquis Ward and junior Mike Lang will start the men's outdoor day off at Rider at 11:00 a.m. in the high jump. Simultaneously, sophomore Kyle Welch and junior Colin Sauter will race in the 5,000 meter run. The meet will concludes at 5:50 pm with the men's 4x400m relay.
