Grudzwick Leads All IC4A 800 Meter Run Qualifiers Saturday
Grudzwick breezed through the 800 meter run prelims in first place.
Sophomore Richard Grudzwick, the NEICAAA 800 meter champion (1:49.90), picked up right where he left off last weekend, today at the IC4A Indoor Track and Field Championships in Boston, MA. Grudzwick finished in first place in the 800 meter run, clocking in at 1:50.65, easily qualifying for tomorrow's final at 1:05 p.m.
The final three events of the men's heptathlon took place on Saturday as well. Latham stood in second place through the first four events on Friday, and finished in fifth place overall with 4,909 points. Latham was the runner-up in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.45. The junior ran the 1,000 meter run in 7.24.
On Sunday, sophomore Edwin Alston, will take his talents to the USA Indoor National Championships held at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, N.M. Alston heads into the meet ranked sixth in the regional IC4A standings, and 57th out of all Division 1 affiliates.
