Grudzwick, Arredondo Qualify For Finals Saturday at NEICAAA Indoor Championships
Sophomore Richard Grudzwick won the preliminary 800 meter run Friday at the New England finals.
Sophomore Richard Grudzwick and freshman Julio Arredondo kicked off the 2017 NEICAAA Indoor Track and Field Championships Friday, Feb. 24 for Central Connecticut, with two qualifying performances. Grudzwick took first place in the 800 meter run, crossing the finish line at 1:53.48. The second year Blue Devil will take part in the 800m finals at 2:55 p.m. Saturday.
Arredondo automatically qualified for the 1,000 meter run finals at 3:15 p.m. tomorrow, finishing second in the preliminaries Friday, in 2:31.84.
The Central Connecticut men's indoor track and field team will resume action tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 25 inside the Reggie Lewis Athletic Center in Boston, M.A. for the final day of the New England Championships.
NEICAAA CHAMPIONSHIP HEADQUARTERS
On Sunday, Blue Devils' senior Joseph Gioielli, junior Austin Trainor, and sophomore Edwin Alston will compete at the Boston University Last Chance Meet.
