Trio of Blue Devils Compete at Sam Howell Invitational
Three members of the Central Connecticut men's outdoor track and field team competed at the Sam Howell Invitational hosted by Princeton University on Friday and Saturday. Sophomore Austin Trainor recorded the best finish of the trio finishing 10th in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.
OFFICIAL RESULTS
Trainor completed the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:26.01 to record the top-10 finish. He was one of 20 athletes to compete in the event.
Senior Malcolm Connor also competed at the Sam Howell Invitational. Connor contested in the 800 meter run and finished 13th out 51 competitors with a time of 1:54.86.
The other Blue Devil to compete at Princeton was sophomore Alex Norstrom. Norstrom raced to a 22nd place finish out of 72 in the 5,000 meter run crossing the finish line with a time of 14:47.95.
The CCSU men's track and field team will return to action next as some of the Blue Devils will travel to the Mt. SAC Relays in Norwalk, CA from April 14-16, while the rest head to the Minutemen Invitational on Saturday, April 16.
