Blue Devils Recognized on Northeast Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll
Student-athletes on Central's seven spring sports recognized for academic achievement.
The 2015 Northeast Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll featured 70 Central Connecticut student-athletes, including 22 members of the men's track and field program, the highest total from any of CCSU's seven spring sports.
The women's lacrosse team landed 13 student-athletes on the honor roll. Softball had 12 players selected, baseball had eight representatives, women's track and field had six student-athletes, women's golf had five selections and the men's golf team had four honorees.
Student-athletes must maintain a 3.20 grade point average over the semester of competition to be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll. In total, the NEC recognized 853 student-athletes on the Honor Roll.
The conference honored 198 student-athletes on the spring Commissioner's Honor Roll, recognizing those superior student-athletes with a 3.75 or better grade point average. Central had a total of eight student-athletes earn a place on the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Those student-athletes are:

Morgan Wallace, Jr., Women's Lacrosse, Accounting
Over the course of the 2014-15 academic year, a total of 1,922 NEC student-athletes landed a spot on the Academic Honor Roll, a 6.4 percent increase from a year ago. That figure also represents nearly half of the NEC's competitors. On the year, 470 student-athletes were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
