Blue Devils Tie for Third at Boston Indoor Games
The Central Connecticut track team finished tied for third at the Boston Indoor Games. The Blue Devils scored 69 team points and tied with UMass Amherst for third in the 17 team field. The Blue Devils were led by victories from Sophomores Aaron Radden and Mohamed Hrezi as well as junior Rashad Williams.

The Blue Devils were led by victories from Sophomores Aaron Radden and Mohamed Hrezi as well as junior Rashad Williams.
Radden won the 200 meters in 21.68 seconds, his time beat the next finisher by seven tenths of a second. Hrezi earned his victory in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:25.52.
Radden finished second in the 400 meters running 49.36 seconds, only a tenth of a second behind the winner.
The Blue Devils earned top-10 finishes on the track from Junior Jeremy Schmid, sophomore Dan Hopper and junior Mike Waterbury.
Schmid finished seventh in the one mile run with a time of 4:16.15. Hopper finished the 500 meters in 1:05.45, earning an eighth place finish, and Waternury finished fifth in the 800 meters with a time of 1:55.10.
On the infield freshman Denzell Jones earned a second place finish in the triple jump, and a third place finish in the high jump. His best triple jump was 14.25 meters (46' 9") and his best high jump was 1.98 meters (6' 8").
Junior Rashad Williams earned a victory in the shot put and also earned his team points by finishing eighth in the weight throw. Williams threw the shot 16.72 meters (54' 10.25") and the weight 15.80 meters (52' 10"). His shot put toss of 16.72 meters broke the school record that he set last week at the Great Dane Classic.
The Blue Devils return to action on Friday at the Yale Geigengack Invitational.
