- The Blue Devils had the first shot of the game in the 6th minute when Sean Gannon took a chance off a free kick that was stopped by the goalkeeper. The Bison would open the scoring just over three minutes later when Nigel McCloud took a pass from Nathan Leggett and put a shot high-center to make it 1-0 at 9:56.
- Howard doubled its lead at 18:30 off a shot by Mason Christian to the lower left off another assist by Leggett to make it 2-0.
- Brian Son had a shot on target for CCSU in the opening minutes of the second half as the Blue Devils would look to level the score. Central's offensive pressure was unable to find a goal until being awarded a penalty in the final minute. Giulio Potenti would convert the opportunity to make it 2-1.
