Men's Soccer Falls at Vermont on Sunday, 2-0

The Central Connecticut men's soccer team fell at Vermont, 2-0, on Sunday in the finale of the Peter Baldwin Memorial Classic. The Catamounts scored a goal on either side of halftime to hold off the Blue Devils. Senior Carson D'Ambrosio and freshman Noah Silverman were named to the All-Tournament Team.
CCSU slips to 0-4 on the season, while UVM improves to 5-1.
Central travels to Massachusetts on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 15.
The Catamounts opend the scoring early in the first period when Justin Freitas chipped a pass to Geo Alves who lifted his shot into the left side of the net to make it 1-0.
UVM added an insurance goal with just under five minutes to play when Jon Arnar Barddal took a failed clearance attempt and struck his shot from 20 yards out to finish the scoring.
D'Ambrosio finished with seven saves in net for the Blue Devils, while UVM's Clay Thomas needed to make just one save.
CCSU is back in action at UMass on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
