Men's Soccer Announces 2018 Schedule
The Blue Devils will host six games at CCSU Soccer Field.
The Central Connecticut men's soccer program and head coach Shaun Green announced the schedule for the 2018 season on Wednesday. The Blue Devils will open the season at CCSU Soccer Field on Sunday, August 26, against Seton Hall.
CCSU will kickoff the campaign with a home game against Seton Hall on CCSU Soccer Field on Sunday, August 26, at 7:00 p.m. In all, the Blue Devils' schedule features six home games.
Central will also host a non-conference contest against Yale on Tuesday, September 18. CCSU will face road games at UMass Lowell (Sept. 2), UMass (Sept. 15), Quinnipiac (Sept. 21) and at Hartford (Sept. 25). The Blue Devils' non-conference slate also includes games against Saint Peter's (Sept. 7) and at Vermont (Sept. 9) in the Peter Baldwin Memorial Classic in Burlington, VT.
The Blue Devils will kick off the Northeast Conference portion of their schedule on Friday, Sept. 28, at St. Francis Brooklyn. CCSU's first NEC home game will be against Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday, October 7, at 1:00 p.m.
Central will also host conference games against Mount St. Mary's (Oct. 12), Sacred Heart (Oct. 26) and Bryant (November 2).
Home games will be broadcast online, for free, on NEC Front Row. The Blue Devils went 5-8-4 overall in 2017, including a 2-3-2 record in NEC play.
The Northeast Conference tournament will take place on November 9 and 11. All games of the 2018 NEC Men's Soccer Tournament will be broadcast live on NEC Front Row. The top four finishers, based on winning percentage during the league's regular season will qualify for the tournament. The high seed will host the entire event.
