Central Connecticut tied Bryant, 0-0, in double-overtime on Friday in Northeast Conference men's soccer action in Smithfield, RI. The Blue Devils' season ends with a 5-8-4 mark overall and 2-3-2 in the NEC.
Central Connecticut attacked the Bulldogs defense to open the game and had chance to open the scoring, but Bryant's Nick Stewart was up to the challenge turning away six shots in the game.
The Bulldogs challenged the Central defense late in the secon overtime with a pair of shots, but after one was blocked away leading to a corner kick, senior Carson D'Ambrosio made a save on the second.
In a mostly evenly-played game, Bryant held a slim 17-16 edge in shots. D'Ambrosio finished with six saves for his second shutout of the season.
Central finishes the season with a 5-8-4 record overall and 2-3-2 in the Northeast Conference. The overtime contest on Friday was the Blue Devils' seventh of the season and six of those went to double-overtime.
