Men's Soccer Falls to Hartford in Double Overtime, 3-2

The Central Connecticut men's soccer team fell to Hartford, 3-2, in double overtime on Tuesday night at CCSU Soccer Field. Central built a two-goal lead before the Hawks would rally with three straight goals. Senior Ryan Taylor notched two assists in the game for CCSU.
With the loss, CCSU slips to 3-5-1 on the season.
The Blue Devils return to action on Saturday, Sept. 30, when they travel to Saint Joseph's for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
Central opened the night on the attack, and just over a minute into the game Taylor had his chip shot go off the crossbar.
Taylor would be involved in the first Blue Devils goal nearly four minutes later. He found space near midfield and slipped a pass through the Hawks defense that found sophomore Andres Muriel Albino down the left wing. Albino would collect the ball and send his shot over the keeper to make it 1-0.
The Blue Devils would double the lead in the 64th minute when Taylor hit freshman Panos Ravanis in stride with a low cross in front of the net. Ravanis would tap the ball home to make it 2-0.
Hartford would get a goal back with just over 16 minutes remaining when Alexis Triadis sent a free kick in from the right wing that found a cutting Gael Kisombe in front of net for the goal to make it 2-1.
The Hawks would get the equalizer with just over four minutes to play when Xahne Reid sent a cross from the right side that Christian Deaconson headed home to make it 2-2.
In the second overtime, Alexis Triadis took the ball on the left wing and dribbled to the middle before sending a shot to the lower right for the game-winner with 4:29 to play.
Senior Carson D'Ambrosio finished with seven saves for Central. The Blue Devils had an 18-15 edge in shots on the night.
