The Central Connecticut men's soccer team scored a pair of first-half goals and defeated Niagara, 3-1, on Friday at the Peter Baldwin Memorial Classic in Burlington, VT. The Blue Devils had three players score in the game to pick up their first win of the season to go to 1-1.

Niagara would level the score just over five minutes in. Mbongeni Tshuma picked up a rebound who passed to Konrad Niam Zydowicz and he nodded home the goal to make it 1-1.

CCSU regained the lead at the 16:37 mark when sophomore Andres Muriel Albino sent a long ball ahead to senior DeShawn Parker who one-timed a shot to the right side to make it 2-1.

Junior Sebastian Calderon tacked on a goal at 65:24 to make it 3-1.

Junior Carson D'Ambrosio made two saves for CCSU in the win. The teams each had 10 shots, while Central had a 7-5 edge in shots on goal.
