Former Blue Devil midfielder to referee final on May 30.
Former Central Connecticut midfielder Jon Moss has been chosen as the referee for the FA Cup Final. He will be in charge of the match when Arsenal meets Aston Villa at Wembley Stadium on May 30.
Moss played for head coach Shaun Green in 1988 and helped the Blue Devils to a 12-5-2 campaign. Moss was promoted to the Select Group Referees and has officiated Premier League matches since 2011.
He told the FA's official website, "When I got the call it was the realisation of a dream really. For any referee it is the pinnacle of your career. I've been involved in the Community Shield and the Conference and Championship playoff finals -- but this is the biggest game I will ever referee."
The FA Cup is the oldest association football competition in the world, having been held since 1871-72. It involves clubs of all sizes and had over 700 clubs entered in 2014-15
