Three Blue Devils Honored by NSCAA
Hannity, Walmsley and Abele all honored for their performance in the class room
Three members of the Central Connecticut men's soccer team were honored by the NSCAA for their performance in the classroom. Seniors Keir Hannity, Stephen Walmsley and Josef Abele were named 2014 NSCAA University Division Scholar All-East Region selections this week.

Earlier this fall Hannity was named First Team All-Conference after leading the Blue Devils in points (12), goals (5) and adding two assists. He started 14 of 16 games played on the season and finished second on the squad in shots on goal (14).
Walmsley, a captain in 2014, was tied for the team lead in assists with three in his senior season. In his career with the Blue Devils he posted three goals and six assists, finishing with 12 points in 65 career games played. He made 58 career starts including 49 in his final three seasons.
Abele has been outstanding for the Blue Devils in the last two seasons, posting a record of 13-14 with a goals against average below 1.50. He has played over 2,600 minutes in 29 games (28 starts) in his last two seasons and record 11 shutouts. He was an All-Conference selection in 2013 when he recorded seven shutouts on the season and went 9-5 as the Blue Devils won the NEC regular season title.
