Men's Golf Shoots 294 on Second Day of NCAA Regionals
Blue Devils improve nine strokes from round one score on Tuesday
The Central Connecticut men's golf team shot a round two score of 294 during Tuesday's second round of the Kissimmee NCAA Men's Golf Regionals. The field of 14 teams and five individuals is competing in the regional tournament at the Par 72, 7,154 yards Watson Course at Reunion Resort in Reunion, FL.
Central sits in 14th place after a two round score of 597.
Freshman Joe Tucker followed up his round one score of 71 with a 73 (+1) on Tuesday and is tied for 34th place overall. His two round score of 144 is even par for the tournament.
Senior Anthony Sebastianelli tied for the best round of the day for the Blue Devils with a 72 on Tuesday (E) and sits in a tie for 55th place overall with a score of 148.
Freshman Nick Piersall also fired a 72 (E) on Tuesday, following his first round score of 79. His two round score of 151 is tied for 65th place.
Sophomore Arthur Ouimet matched his first round score of 77 (+5) on Tuesday, putting him in a tie for 71st place with a score of 154.
The Blue Devils stand 14th as a team following the second round of play. Central is just 10 shots behind Georgetown. Florida leads the field with a two round score of 551 (-25), followed by UCF (-20) and Kent State (-16).
