Men's Golf Finishes 12th at Yale Spring Invitational
Piersall leads Blue Devils with two round score of 147
Freshman Nick Piersall shot a two round score of 147 (73-74) to lead the Central Connecticut men's golf team to a 12th place finish at the Yale Spring Invitational on Saturday. The tournament, which included two rounds, both played on Saturday, was played at The Course at Yale in New Haven, CT.
The Blue Devils shot rounds of 308 and 299 to finish at 607, just 14 shots out of the top five in the tournament. Tennessee finished first, followed by Yale, Virginia, Cornell and then Penn.
Piersall's rounds of 73 and 74 led the Blue Devils and tied for 15th place overall. Senior Anthony Sebastianelli shot 78-71 to finish at 149 in a tie for 25th place. His 71 in round two was tied for the third best score of the second round.
Senior Brandon Raine shot 78-75 and tied for 46th place. Freshman Joe Tucker shot 79-79 and tied for 66th and sophomore Arthur Ouimet shot 80-81 and finished in a tie for 75th place overall.
Senior Aaron Donelli played as an individual shot 74-79 and tied for 46th place.
Central is back in action on Monday and Tuesday in at Rhode Island.
