Men's Golf 13th After Day One at Quechee Club Collegiate Challenge
Mahlke leads Blue Devils with 77 on Day One
The Central Connecticut men's golf team is in 13th place out of 15 teams after the first day of the Quechee Club Collegiate Challenge being played at the Quechee Club in Quechee, VT. The tournament is being hosted by Dartmouth College.
The Blue Devils shot a day one score of 314. Rhode Island leads the 15 team field after day one with a team score of 279. Penn (286), Harvard (287), Colgate (292) and Columbia (292) round out the top five.
Senior Matthew Mahlke led the Blue Devils on Saturday with a score of 77. He is tied for 47th place overall. Freshman Drew Aitken and junior Anthony Sebastianelli each shot 78 (+6) and sit in a tie for 50th place overall.
Senior Nick Direda shot 81 and is tied for 67th while freshman Arthur Ouimet shot 86 and is tied for 81st place.
The second and final round will take place on Sunday.
