Men's Golf Finishes Third at Lonnie Barton Invitational
Bolden finishes in a tie for 3rd place overall
Sophomore Bryant Bolden fired a second round score of 76 to lead Central Connecticut to a third place finish in the Lonnie Barton Invitational on Tuesday. Bolden also fired a first round score of 75 on Monday to finish the two-day tournament at 151, in a tie for third place overall.
The tournament was hosted by LIU and was played at the LPGA International Hills Course in Daytona Beach, FL.
Bolden finished two spots ahead of sophomore teammate Matt Hills who was in a tie for fifth place overall. Hills shot a day one score of 74 and followed it up with a 79 on Tuesday to shoot 153 for his two rounds.
Senior Monte Mullen shot 81 on Tuesday and finished in a tie for 23rd place overall with a score of 159. Junior Jack Ayers shot 81-81 to finish with a 162 and a tie for 34th place. Junior Connor Murphy shot 83 on the second day and finished in 51st place.
LIU Brooklyn won the tournament with a two round score of 612. St. Francis U was second at 618, followed by the Blue Devils (308-317-625), Sacred Heart (627) and Fairfield (632) rounded out the top five.
