Men's Golf Set for Fall 2013
Head men's golf coach Kevin Giancola announced the team's fall slate on Friday.
Central Connecticut head men's golf coach Kevin Giancola has announced the team's 2013 fall schedule on Friday. The Blue Devils will play in six tournaments this fall, one more than last fall season. All but one tournament will be held on the road as Central will host the CCSU Fall Invitational. Four of the six tournaments will be played in Connecticut.
Central kicks off the fall at the Missouri Tiger Intercollegiate on September 1st to the 2nd. Last season the team finished fourth out of 13 competitors at Missouri. Central will then return home on September 8th through the 9th to host the 2013 CCSU Fall Invitational. The Blue Devils were the event's runner up last season and look to finish atop the leader board again in 2013.
The team will then travel south to Hermitage CC in Manakin-Sabot, VA to compete in the VCU Shootout on September 23rd through the 24th. They then return back to Connecticut and will compete in the Yale Macdonald Cup on October 5th and 6th, an event where the team placed sixth last fall.
Central will conclude their fall slate at the UCONN Connecticut Cup followed by the Sacred Heart Invitational. The team will travel to UCONN on October 14th and 15th and then to Sacred Heart on October 21st and 22nd. Last season, the Blue Devils placed 10th at UCONN.
