Bio

Matt Trudeau joined the staff as a volunteer handling the director of operations role for the 2021-22 season. Trudeau is a CCSU graduate and was most recently with Hoop Group.

"We are happy to have Matt join the men's basketball family," said Sellers. "Matt is familiar with CCSU and has the enthusiasm and energy to help make this program successful. It is great to have him back at CCSU and he will be a valuable member of our staff."

Trudeau, who is a native of Storrs, CT, graduated from CCSU in 2020 with a B.S. in Business and a concentration in general management. He was a student manager for the men's basketball program and had a role in handling the travel logistics and overseeing equipment management and meal planning. He was responsible for handing film for the coaching staff and student-athletes as well. Trudeau also worked with the coaching staff to put together the scouting reports on opponents to share with the program.

Since graduating he has worked with The Hoop Group in various roles. Most recently he was the Director of Skills for the Skills Camps. In that role, he recruited over 3,500 participants for team and individual events, managed the camp's day-to-day operations, and implemented sales and marketing strategies. Trudeau was responsible for all basketball operations for the Hoop Group Skills Division. He also was the Director of Middle School Tournaments, directing events with over 120 teams and 2,000 participants. He also worked alongside AAU programs throughout the Northeast and Midwest.

Trudeau started with Hoop Group as an Elite Sales Intern and helped manage camp registration for participants. He also played a role in managing the NCAA certification process, recruiting participants and building information packets for coaches and staff.

Trudeau also worked at the NCAA College Basketball Academy, East Region, as a student manager. He was responsible for preparing the courts for the players and coaches and was also an on-court aide for drills and games, assisting in drills as needed.
