Bio

Dustin Dobbs joined the Central Connecticut men's basketball staff in the summer of 2016. He will handle the duties of the Director of Basketball Operations.

Dobbs joins the Blue Devils after spending two seasons at Fairfield University as the assistant director of basketball operations. He was on the staff with the Stags in 2015-16 when they posted a 12-game improvement and won 19 games to qualify for the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament. 

He joined the Fairfield staff after spending four years with the men’s basketball team at the University of Massachusetts, where he was the head student-manager. Dobbs worked with the program in all aspects of its day-to-day operations and assisted the team's video coordinator during his senior year. 

During his time at UMass, the Minutemen earned a berth to the 2014 NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1998. That season, UMass also earned its first Associated Press Top 25 ranking since 1998 and climbed as high as 13th in the country. Dobbs was a part of the 2013 Charleston Classic Championship team, as well as the 2012 team which advanced to the NIT Final Four and posted a 25-12 record. While at UMass, the Minutemen also went to the 2013 NIT, and reached the semifinals in consecutive seasons at the A10 Tournament. At UMass, Dobbs worked with the San Antonio Spurs' 2015 NBA Draft selection Cady Lalanne, as well as 2016 NBA D-League All-Star Raphiael Putney. 

Dobbs has also coached at numerous camps throughout the northeast. He graduated from UMass in 2014 with a degree in Psychology and minor in Education.
