Baba Diallo came to Central Connecticut as an assistant coach in July 2018. Diallo joined the staff after spending three seasons at DePaul University.

"Baba brings a world of knowledge and recruiting connections to our program having worked under great coaches like Danny Manning, Frank Haith and Dave Leitao," head coach Donyell Marshall said. "As a staff, we were looking to add a coach who wanted to be here and help us continue to build on what we're doing at CCSU. Baba is eager to be a part of the program and the Blue Devil family and we can't wait to have him join us on the sidelines and start working with our players."

"I am very blessed and excited to be here and have the opportunity to work with the Blue Devils program," Diallo said. "I've been fortunate to work with programs and coaches who have also been mentors to me. My trusted mentors in coach Leitao and coach Manning have said nothing but great things about how good of a person and a respected coach Donyell is. When this opportunity came about, it was no brainer for me. It's a tremendous opportunity to learn from and work with such a leader. I'm extremely excited for the direction of the program and can't wait to get started."

Diallo joined the DePaul staff in the fall of 2015 as an Assistant Director of Basketball Operations before being elevated to Video Coordinator prior to the 2017-18 season. During Diallo's time with the program, the Blue Demons recorded a pair of wins over ranked opponents including DePaul's highest-ranked win since 2006 with a victory over No. 11 Providence. The Blue Demons also posted a 21-point win over 20th-ranked George Washington. Off the court, the team placed an impressive 11 players on the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and was honored with the NABC's Team Academic Excellence Award. 

Prior to his time at DePaul, Diallo was a Graduate Manager at Tulsa for two seasons. He was on the staff of the 2013-14 team that won 22 games en route to the Conference USA regular-season and tournament titles and advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. The Golden Hurricane posted 23 wins in 2014-15 while advancing to the second round of the NIT.

Diallo, who has also spent time at the University of Colorado, began his career in coaching after graduating from Baker University in Baldwin City, KS, in May 2013 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. He played basketball for two seasons at Baker from 2011-13. Diallo completed his Masters of Science degree in mathematical science at Tulsa in 2015.

Diallo, whose given name is Abdourahmane, is a native of Dakar, Senegal.
