Men's Basketball Host Saint Elizabeth for Youth Sports Day on Saturday
The Central Connecticut men's basketball team plays its final non-conference game of the season at home against Saint Elizabeth on Saturday. The 1:00 p.m. game will be streamed on NECFrontRow.
The game is Youth Sports Day and all youth fans wearing their youth team jerseys will be admitted free.

• Central Connecticut closes the non-conference slate at home against Saint Elizabeth.
• CCSU is coming off a win at Fordham last week, which earned Jordan Jones NEC Player of the Week, while Kellen Amos and Allan Jeanne-Rose were both named Prime Performers.
• Head coach Patrick Sellers is in his third season at the helm of his alma mater and has improved the team's win total over the previous season in each campaign.
• The Blue Devils jump into Northeast Conference play when they open the 16-game slate at Stonehill on Jan. 4 before going to Saint Francis U. on Jan. 13.

• Central would win its 6th non-conference game, its most since the 2018-19 season (6).
• CCSU would win back-to-back games 2x before Jan. 1 for the first time since 2017-18, when it had a 5-game and a 3-game win streak in non-conference play.

• Since Nov. 29 (7 gms) Jordan Jones is averaging 17.0 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.7 apg and 2.3 spg. He's shooting 50% overall and 43.5% on 3-pointers.
• He had a career-high 22 points vs. Northeastern, while scoring 18 points in the 2nd half at Fordham to earn NEC Player of the Week (12/26).
• On the year, he leads the Blue Devils with 24 steals and ranks among the NEC leaders in steals (6th), FG pct (10th, .483), assists (11th, 2.5), and scoring (11th, 12.2).
• In 2022-23, he ranked 3rd nationally in the D-2 ranks in steals (2.59) and 6th in assists (6.5) at Coker (SC) University.
• Tre Breland has been a reliable 6th man for the Blue Devils, posting 8.4 ppg and 3.7 rpg in 22.5 minutes, while scoring 10+ in 7 games.
• Breland leads the NEC in 3-point accuracy at .547 (18-of-33).
• He has a 3-pointer in 9 straight games including 2 games with 3+.
