Men's Basketball Opens NEC Play at Saint Francis U

The Central Connecticut men's basketball team opens Northeast Conference play at Saint Francis U on Thursday night. The game will tip off at 7:00 p.m. and be available on NEC Front Row.

OPENING NOTES
•    Central Connecticut begins Northeast Conference play at Saint Francis U on Dec. 29. CCSU is opening league play against SFU for the first time since Dec. 29, 2017 (W, 72-68).
•    The Blue Devils are 12-13 all-time in Northeast Conference openers.
•    CCSU will return home to play St. Francis Brooklyn on New Year's Eve at 1:00 p.m.

WHAT TO KNOW
•    Jay Rodgers has started the past 5 games, and scored double-figures in each game. He's averaging 16.2 ppg and shooting .470 from the field in that span, including a career-high 23 points at Fordham. Rodgers also posted a career-high 6 assists in the win at Manhattan.
