Amos Collects NEC Player of the Week Honors

Following his outing in Central Connecticut's win last week, Kellen Amos earned Northeast Player of the Week honors on Monday. The junior wing was joined on the NEC Prime Performer list by senior Nigel Scantlebury and junior Jay Rodgers.

Amos led four Blue Devils in double-figures with 20 points in a win at Manhattan. He connected on a career-high 6-of-6 three-pointers and finished 7-of-11 from the field. He added four rebounds, two blocked shots, a steal and an assist. It was his third 20-point game of the season.

Scantlebury and Rodgers each had six assists as the Blue Devils accumulated a season-high 21 assists. Rodgers added 15 points, while Scantlebury had 12 points, five rebounds and two steals.

CCSU, winners of two of its last three games, hosts Army West Point on Tuesday night.
