Men's Basketball Falters at Bryant on Thursday
The Central Connecticut men's basketball fell at Bryant, 75-61, in Northeast Conferenceaction on Thursday at the Chace Center. The Bulldogs used a run of five straight straight points to break a tie with 5:01 to play in the first half and would not surrender the lead to the Blue Devils the rest of the way.
Junior Ian Krishnan scored a team-high 18 points for CCSU to lead a trio in double-figures. Freshman Andre Snoddy grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds. Central shot 23-of-60 (.383) overall and was 8-of-23 (.348) on three-pointers. The Blue Devils went 7-of-9 (.778) at the foul line.
Peter Kiss scored 36 points to pace Bryant. The Bulldogs shot 26-of-64 (.406) overall and 5-of-21 (.238) from three-point range. Bryant went 18-of-24 (.750) from the foul line.

- Central would take a early 6-2 lead after Snoddy posted back-to-back baskets in the paint with 18:11 to go in the half. After a dunk by Snoddy with 5:01 remaining, the teams were tied 22-22. The Bulldogs would respond with five straight points and a three-pointer by Kiss made it 27-22. Bryant would push the lead to as much as 36-26 before halftime. A jumper by freshman Trenton McLaughlin would cut the deficit to 36-28 at the intermission.
- The Blue Devils would hit consecutive trifectas from Krishnan and junior Nigel Scantlebury to make it 40-36 in the second half. CCSU would get within 48-45 after a Krishnan three with 13:34 to play, but Bryant came back with 11 unanswered points to push the lead back to 59-45 with 8:14 to play. Central would be unable to get closer than eight points with 55 seconds remaining before Bryant scored the games final six points.
