Men's Basketball Hits the Road for Pair of Games at LIU
The Central Connecticut men's basketball team will play its final road series of the regular season at LIU this weekend. The teams will play on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday at 4:00 p.m. The contest will stream for free, and live, on NEC Front Row.

Central Connecticut fell to Sacred Heart on Wednesday night. The Blue Devils were without their top two scorers, but got 16 points from sophomore Myles Baker, a season-high 13 points from senior Stephane Ayangma and 13 points from junior Ian Krishnan. Ayangma has started the last three games and is averaging 25.7 minutes per game in that span.
LIU is coming off a pair of losses at Mount St. Mary's this week to slip to 7-7 overall. The Sharks have only played conference games this season and have dropped 4-of-5 after opening the year 6-3. Ty Flowers and Eral Penn are both scoring 16.9 ppg. Penn grabs a team-high 10.4 rebounds.
JOHN THOMPSON TOWEL INITIATIVE
Coaches across the nation will pay tribute to John Thompson Jr. this week by wearing commemorative towels over their shoulders - mirroring the late coache's signature look. The NABC launched the initiative to honor Thompson for his lasting impact both on and off the court. Towels featuring an image of Thompson were distributed to every NABC-member head men's basketball coach in NCAA Divisions I, II and III and the NAIA. The towel initiative originated from the NABC Committee on Racial Reconciliation and more information is available HERE along with PHOTOS.

• The Blue Devils would earn their 6th season split of an NEC series this season.
• Donyell Marshall would lead CCSU to its first win at LIU in his tenure.
• Stephane Ayangma scored a season-high 13 points vs. SHU. He has started the last 3 games and averaged 25.7 minutes per game along with 7.0 ppg and shooting .500 from the field.
• Ayangma became the 10th Blue Devil to score 10+ points in a game this season. CCSU is one of 14 teams nationally to have 10+ players post a double-figure scoring game.
