April 30, 2019
In his third season at the helm of the Central Connecticut men's basketball program, Donyell Marshall helped the program post back-to-back double-digit win totals for the first time since the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. The Blue Devils set a new Northeast Conference record and ranked fourth in the NCAA by shooting 78.2% from the free throw line as a team.
Other highlights from the season included participating in the Jersey Mike's Jamaica Classic which marked the first time since 1999-2000 (Hawai'i-Hilo Tournament) that the Blue Devils left the mainland for basketball games. CCSU's schedule featured eight teams that made postseason tournament trips and Central had wins against each of the three NEC teams to play in postseason tournaments. Freshman Ian Krishnan earned NEC All-Rookie Team honors and is one of two starters slated to return for CCSU next season (junior Jamir Coleman). Senior Tyler Kohl was named to the All-NEC Second Team.
